“On Saturday 16th November, Northern Rivers Salvos is pleased to host the community dinner to celebrate International Men’s Day. We have been working behind the scenes to get this years event underway. We are fully funded and supported by the local business community to be able to bring this event to the region at no cost.
International Men’s Day exists to celebrate the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. We highlight positive role models and raise awareness of men’s well-being.
We are excited to have Preston Cambell OAM as our special guest for 2024. Preston is a well-known NRL Player playing for several NRL teams and was part of the inaugural Gold Coast Titans team. Since retiring Preston has become a community ambassador, a mentor and advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people, and established the Preston Campbell Foundation to inspire and mentor participants to achieve their aspirations and dreams by connecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with their culture, sense of place and well-being.
