If you sell consumer goods in the Australian market – at any stage of the supply chain – you have a responsibility to source safe products under the Australian Consumer Law. This includes goods that aren’t subject to a specific mandatory safety standard or ban – in fact, many goods that cause injury are not subject to specific mandatory safety requirements.
To help you find out how to buy safe and sell safe, the ACCC is holding a free and interactive webinar on Tuesday 12 May 2015.
During the one-hour event you’ll hear from the ACCC and industry experts about responsible sourcing of safe products, how to do it, why you should and what happens if you don’t – plus have the chance to ask questions.
You can also find out more on sourcing safe products on the Product Safety Australia website.
