THE LISMORE BUSINESS AWARDS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS, CELEBRATE YOUR TEAM AND TO GAIN RECOGNITION FOR YOUR SUCCESS. THE PROCESS IS STRAIGHTFORWARD. WHETHER YOUR'RE A SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE ORGANISATION OR AN INDIVIDUAL. SIMPLY FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRIES.
How to Enter
Check the rules and eligibilityReview the entry criteria and make sure you meet the requirements for your chosen category.
Choose your category (or categories)You can enter one or multiple categories.However, you can only submit one entry per category.
Create your accountSet up (or log in to) your Business NSW account and start your entry in the Awards Portal.
Prepare your submissionDraft your answers to each question.We recommend writing your submission offline (Word or Google Docs) so you can review and refine before submitting.
Submit your entryUpload your completed submission via the Awards Portal before the closing date. (Late entries are not accepted, and submissions cannot be edited after the deadline.)
Each submission is independently reviewes and scored by an anonymous panel of expert judges after entries close.

Tips for Entrants
To give yourself the best chance of success, consider the following:
Start early Give yourself enough time to gather information, data and examples.
Choose categories carefully Focus on the categories that best reflect your strengths and achievements.
Plan your responses Think about what outcomes you want to highlight—growth, impact, innovation or leadership.
Use real examples and results Include clear evidence such as numbers, outcomes or measurable success.
Keep it clear and concise Avoid jargon. Write in a way that is easy to understand.
Work with others Involve team members, advisors or customers to strengthen your submission.
Review before submitting Proofread and refine your answers before uploading.
Entrant Rules
Nominations for categories
Entrants cannot change categories after the submission deadline for the applicable local and/ or regional awards
If an Entrant enters multiple categories, a separate and complete entry must be submitted for each category
Entrants cannot be current regional presidents, state councillors or board members of Business NSW (NSW Business Chamber Limited)
Where age eligibility applies, entrants must meet the age requirements specified for the category (e.g. Outstanding Young Business Leader category)
Where applicable, businesses must have been trading continuously for two or more years and must not be bankrupt or trading insolvent at the time of entry
Work with others Involve team members, advisors or customers to strengthen your submission.
For all categories except individual, Outstanding Local Chamber and Outstanding New Business categories, the business must be trading for a continuous period of two years or more and is not bankrupt or trading insolvent at the time of entry.

Nominated regional awards program
Entrants must be based in or operate within the region or local area they are entering
Entrants should review the postcode eligibility guide available on the relevant regional awards website before nominating and/or submitting their entry

Multiple Products
A business, such as a chain or franchise with multiple locations under the same ABN, may only enter one business in their chosen regional awards program.

Business NSW reserves the right to withdraw submissions if any entry does not comply with the rules.
