Meet us at the BAH this month with:

41st Battalion RNSWR at their Byron Barracks.

In their words …

“The 41st Battalion, Royal New South Wales Regiment (The Byron Scottish) is an Army Reserve unit with a long and varied history across the Northern Rivers of NSW. Our soldiers come from the communities that we serve, helping those all around us.

Since 1899, with the formation of a volunteer, Lismore Scottish Rifles, we have served in the Boer War, through the fields of poppies in France and Belgium in WW1 and with homeland security during WW2. More recently our soldiers have deployed on Operations in the Solomon Islands, Timor Leste and in the Middle East.

41 RNSWR members have assisted domestic operations within Australia, in support of Olympic and Commonwealth Games, Natural Disasters, especially most recently with fires and floods. When several members served with distinction and without hesitation, despite the damage or loss of their own property.

Our skills and capabilities extend beyond our Infantry role, with our soldiers demonstrating leadership and initiative to help out where we can. With drivers, cooks, clerks, mechanics and stores personnel in support, we strive to highlight our professionalism. To be an asset to our civilian work colleagues, our sports teams, our families and our friends. To serve our communities and nation as best as we can.”
