“A. Cummings & Co was founded on April 1948 in Ballina by Anzac Cummings shortly after he returned from the war where he sold and serviced bicycles. A few years later Anzac began selling fridges, radios and other electrical appliances.
The Cummings family over the years diversified into properties and property developments, whilst mainlining the electrical and furniture retail stores in Lismore and Yamba. The Cummings family this year celebrated their 77th year of business in the Northern Rivers.
In 1983 we opened our Lismore electrical store and in July 2024 we opened the doors to Cummings Furniture Court store, where we continue to serve the needs of the residents of Lismore and surrounding areas.
We are members of Bi-Rite and Furniture Court Buying Groups, and this provides us with an opportunity to provide products to the community at a very competitive price.
We carry a wide variety of quality electrical appliances, furniture, bedding, and mattresses that will meet the customer’s needs. Our experienced staff will assist you make the best decision to meet your needs.”
