NSW SES have developed a set of 3 Key Flood Height magnets for the CBD/East Lismore and North and South Lismore. The aim of the magnets is to provide residents and businesses with a tangible product that can be stored on the fridge and used as part of their Home/Business Emergency Plans.
The magnets outline a list of key river heights and the associated consequences for people living and working in the Lismore area. This is important information which will assist people to set their triggers for evacuation.
To promote and distribute these magnets Lismore SES have put together a Flood Pack which we aim to deliver to each business in the Lismore area. The Flood Packs will include the magnet, a local Flood Safe Guide, an Australian Warning System flyer, as well as supporting Flood Awareness documents.
Their aim is to start the doorknock in the Lismore CBD/East Lismore on Wednesday 25 October and continue with North and South Lismore over the following weeks.
